Popularized by Andre Agassi and the likes of his classic Air Tech Challenge and corresponding apparel in the early ’90s, the “burning ball” motif returns as Nike celebrates the 20th anniversary of the look. Conjuring up the spirit of 1992 and the bold designs and neon colorways that dominated the court, Nike’s new “Flame” collection applies the retro logo to the likes of Roger Federer’s Tinker Hatfield-designed Zoom Vapor 9 Tour alongside the Air Max Courtballistec 4.3 and Breathe 2K12. Dropping alongside a “Flame” tee and cap, all three pairs of footwear will be available come November 1 while Federer will debut the look at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London at The O2 arena.
