Deriving its name from the majestic trees of the same name, the company has similarly extended its branches over a range of labels, products and creative outlets, with a focus on innovation and craftsmanship. For Fall/Winter 2012, kapok’s lookbook showcases both its brand mainstays and a host of newcomers — seasonal products from Our Legacy, Gitman Vintage, Norse Projects and Mismo, as well as pieces by Commune de Paris, A Kind of Guise and FrenchTrotters. The well-curated selection — despite its wide range of clothing, shoes and accessories — manages the tricky task of remaining classic and easy to wear, yet modern enough to keep things interesting. The lookbook was shot by photographer Apple Wong, with the highlighted products all available in-store or online.
