Until now Apple‘s Lightning Cable, used to sync the iPhone 5 and the latest iPod Touch, has been the only viable option when it comes to syncing and charging your new gadgets. But that’s all set to change with iPhone5mod‘s announcement that it has cloned Apple’s authentication chip for the lightning cable. Capable of doing all the same functions as its official Apple counterpart, the new Flash Lightning Dock one-ups Apple’s offering by including a dock and backlit cable. Perhaps the coolest feature of the new cable is its backlit feature, which pulses in tune with the syncing and charging of the phone, even going so far as to change the speed of the pulsing based on the current battery level of the phone. The full set including dock is available for $39.90 USD while the dock and cable are $19.90 USD each when purchased separately. Both the set and the standalone products are available now from iPhone5mod’s online store and don’t forget to check out the video for an in-depth look at the new product.
