Blood Orange featuring Starchild - Neptune (Lemonade Cover)

Dev Hynes is best known as the artist Blood Orange, but he’s one of those muti-talents that sings, writes, produces, plays numerous instruments and is probably behind some of your favorite records by your favorite artists. His recent work includes Sky Ferreira‘s “Everything Is Embarassing,” which he co-wrote, and Solange Knowles‘ “Losing You,” which he co-wrote and produced. But his latest release finds the 26-year-old singing a song for which he didn’t put his pen to the pad. Instead, he’s put his own spin on “Neptune,” a song by little-known Brooklyn band Lemonade. The track features Hynes’ vocals atop a new beat he crafted with a rap verse from his friend Starchild tacked onto the end. Check it out below.
