Founded in 2003 by designer Yuya Noguchi and director Masakazu Fukuyama, Man of Moods is a contemporary menswear label hailing from Japan. For Fall/Winter 2012, the brand maintains its signature dark color palette, slim silhouettes and technical accents on an array of outerwear, knits and cropped bottoms. Among the standouts are technical jackets that are both timely and reflective of Fukuyama’s pro snowboarding background, along with more traditional outerwear given high collars or shortened in length. Meanwhile, Noguchi’s expert pattern-making — a craft he honed at COMME des GARCONS — is evident in the collection’s edgy cuts and modern feel. Look for the Man of Moods 2012 fall/winter collection to release on its website or at retailers like STUDIOUS.
