Yesterday we shared the news of Kendrick Lamar’s debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city projected to move 200K in its first week, and now we bring you news of another album that hit shelves on October 22. Country singer Taylor Swift is currently expected to move a million copies of her fourth studio album Red in its first week according to Billboard‘s retail sources, a feat last achieved by Lady Gaga’s Born This Way. In similar fashion to the way Lady Gaga released her album, Swift treated fans with a special 99-cent deal to purchase her album off Amazon, in light of today’s piracy issues. The 22-year-old currently has three singles in iTunes’ Top Songs – “State of Grace” (No. 2, 209,000 overall sales), ”I Knew You Were Trouble” (No. 3, 156,000 overall sales) and ”We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” (No. 8) – and the album hit No. 2 on iTunes this week after a single day of sales. Set to join only six other albums to be released this year and become certified platinum, you can grab your copy of Red by clicking here.
