Taking initial inspiration from paintings by artists such as Fairfield Porter and Rauschenberg, J.Crew‘s Frank Muytjens has created a 2012 spring/summer collection that features a strong basis on colors. The use of blues, grays, greens and browns mixed in the occasional bright red or yellow helps bring the brand’s often timeless approach forward.  The styling has stayed classic with a subtle nautical feel with suits, shirts, boat shoes and cropped trousers among the items set to release.
