For their September 2011 issue, Motor Trend magazine assembled 11 of the world’s most sought-after cars for an informal drag race in conjunction with their 2011 Motor Trend Best Driver’s Car Award. With a combined total of 5,000 horsepower, 82 cylinders and a nearly $1.5 million in value, the new 2012 Nissan GT-R took home first place upsetting the likes of the Porsche 911, Corvette Z06, Ferrari 458 Italia and the Audi R8 GT. The video was filmed at El Toro Marine Corp Air Station in El Toro, California, and captures a variety of closeups and aerial views of the cars from start to finish. Admittedly just a casual competition, it is not intended to be an official evaluation of the respective vehicle’s performance, rather for the enjoyment of car enthusiasts and spectators alike.
