New from Justin Jensen, a designer who originally conceived his revolutionary idea while studying at MIT Media Labs, comes the Cineskates Portable Tripod Dolly. Produced by Cinetics, Mr. Jensen’s Texas-based company, Cineskates allows videographers to capture fluid, quick-moving graphics without spending a huge amount of time and money on such shots. Comprised of three wheels fit onto a GorillaPod focus tripod, the Cineskates device only requires a single ballhead to attach one’s camera to the fixture. Ripe for customizability, Jensen plans for future Cineskates to even include robotic movement or be produced on a much larger scale. The device is set to retail for $350 USD, with the wheel system available on its own for $200.
