New from graffiti artist Prime comes a gallery exhibition exploring cultural influences from his native Hawaii as well as hip-hop, social issues and more. Combining an old school ’80s aesthetic with ancient Polynesian images, Prime has made a name for himself not only as an artist but also as an advocate of progressive urban sustainability and education with his foundation, the 808 Urban Initiative. Prime created new pieces specifically for this show and painted them directly onto the wall surfaces, planning them only for public consumption and designing the entire exhibit to be a temporal one. The images will all be destroyed or painted-over after the close date of Saturday, September 10, so check it out over at Loft in Space before it’s too late!
