Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O to premiere "psycho-opera"

It appears that Karen O has been inspired by Damon Albarn, as news arrive that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman has written an opera. According to a press release, the still-untitled project is set to be a “psycho-opera” and “an assault on the tragic joys of youth.” Novelist, playwright and filmmaker Adam Rapp has been credited as the director of the piece. The world premiere is scheduled to take place at St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn, as part of The Creators Project series.
