COMUNE 2012 Spring/Summer Collection

California-based fashion brand COMUNE shot this ominously-scored video at the arid Salton Sea in order to showcase some of the latest garments to come out of the label’s stable. Driven by a grunge-meets-prep aesthetic, the look was distinctly laid-back and slightly utilitarian. Notable pieces included a stark selvedge denim shirt-jacket, a selection of plaid button-downs in desaturated desert tones, some basic cashmere v-necks, tough military-inspired boots, horizontally-printed chambray shirting, tailored chinos and cords, as well as a heavy-duty waterproof jacket and a travel bag. As this video was merely a preview, the collection won’t likely be available until mid-fall when pieces may begin trickling into retailers and onto the web.
