Balenciaga Mesh/Leather Sneakers

New from French fashion powerhouse Balenciaga comes this mixed-media pair of sneakers. The silhouette, which has been a favorite of celebrities in more basic tonal colorways, is a slightly chunky low-top featuring a clean rubber sole and an asymmetrical lace-up system. Reinvented for Fall/Winter 2011, the kicks are now available in a mix of materials – fully lined in leather and complemented by a black and white mesh toe box, grey leather uppers, and a dark blue patent leather tongue. Certainly not the most subtle kicks around, these Balenciagas remain understated enough that they come across as luxuriously edgy rather than ostentatious. Available now at MR PORTER.
