For his own eponymous line’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection, designer Kris Van Assche took a slightly more buttoned-up approach. The inclusion of only a handful of outwear pieces allowed the suiting to take center stage and a number of different variations on the look were sent down the runway. Ranging from pinstriped sets to sleeveless ones, the majority of these looks were accompanied by cropped trousers that featured button-down fronts and slim cuts. Underneath the suit coats, colorfully printed and striped polos proved to be a pleasant surprise while Van Assche playfully toyed around with sleeve proportions and added a futuristic edge in the form of those sleek, metal-framed sunglasses.
