An American in Paris, Adam Kimmel recently sent his latest collection for Spring/Summer 2012 down the runway. As always, Kimmel displays acuity of design – mixing technical workwear pieces in nylons and waxed cottons with colorful leather outerwear, button-down shirts in muted patterns, and unstructured suits in a throng of fabrics and colors in an unlikely yet cohesive manner. Also worth noting is that despite the fact many models were barefoot, a primary-colored slip-on sneaker/espadrille hybrid made its debut during the show.
