While J. Cole fans have been waiting in anticipation for the first single from his upcoming debut album, an array of never-before-heard songs by the Roc Nation emcee have made their way to the blogosphere recently. Some of them, including “Return of Simba” and “Disgusting,” have been official, planned releases, but this newest track unfortunately appears to be the contrary. Instead of being premiered by Cole via his Twitter or blog as usual, this was found on a new, unofficial mixtape that popped up yesterday. The song is called “How High” and yes, the subject matter does touch a bit on the obvious. There’s no word yet on whether this is a piece of Cole’s album or just something he had in the stash, but it’s a good listen nonetheless. As always, check it out below.
