Okayplayer receives the premiering honors for Jay Electronica’s almost forgotten visual for “Dimethyltryptamine.” Directed by Jason Goldwatch, the video was shot during a trip to Kathmandu Nepal in the fall of 2009 whereas the song was based on a dream the rapper had. The eventual release of the clip honors tomorrow’s May Day for all the people who worked hard to create these videos, part of larger project that spans the continents. Word up.
