In its latest installment, MTV’s popular When I Was 17 series highlights the teenage backgrounds of Common and T-Pain. The former recalls his days as a ladies’ man at Luther High School South in Chicago and a basketball player who freestyled in gym class, and eventually opened for N.W.A. in 1989-199l. The latter takes the viewer to 2002 when he was living out of his 1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass and almost got robbed while making out in the back seat. Watch the entertaining piece above.
