MASScanvas x Stan Lee "World of Heroes" Design Contest

Stan Lee, former president and chairman of Marvel Comics, joins MASScanvas in a design contest to benefit the John Wayne Cancer Institute. Beginning Thursday, November 4, 2011, the “World of Heroes” contest invites fans to submit their unique designs for a chance to win a $1,000 prize and have their design made into a T-shirt. Submissions will be accepted through November 20 and entrants and fans alike can vote on the designs throughout the challenge.

Acting as curator, Lee will select his top five winning designs from a narrowed down list of the top 20 user-voted entries. Each design will be crafted into a hand-numbered limited run T-shirt and a portion of the profits will go to benefit the John Wayne Cancer Institute. In the above video, Lee touches on his choice for the “World of Heroes” theme prompting potential entrants to incorporate their own personal interpretations of the word “hero” into the designs.
