The Tim Brauch Memorial Foundation is dedicated to lauded, San Jose-born skater Tim Brauch who died at age 25 of cardiac arrest in 1999. Its annual skate competition in Scotts Valley, California is designed to promote skateboarding and to defray the cost of building proper skate parks around the country. This year, legendary skater Steve Cabellero attended with more than socialization on the mind. Cabellero strapped a helmet on and got some solid sessions in, earning the 47-year-old a 1st place finish.
