Nike LeBron 9 China Edition "Blue Flame"

It may be hard to believe, but we are now in-store for the ninth version of Nike’s LeBron signature basketball shoe. The Nike LeBron 9 is a bit of a departure from the previous two models in that it sports a higher cut and is styled to be more geared to life on the court. Nike went all out on the performance specifications by inserting a Max Air 180 unit in the heel and by combing the technology of Flywire and Hyperfuse to create an extremely lightweight, yet durable upper. The China “Blue Flame” edition is based on the concept that 2012 is the Chinese Zodiac “Year of the Dragon.” Opposed to being the traditional red associated with China themes, the LeBron 9 is colored after the searing blue that is the hottest part of the flame spewed from a dragon’s mouth. Regardless of the inspiration, the colorway really catches the eye and looks totally original. This recent release was coupled with an exclusive box that falls in line with the sneaker’s theme and was awarded to nine lucky buyers upon its release. In further news, for the first time, the LeBron franchise will be offered on NIKEiD starting on October 25 (preview available on October 9). Hopefully the owners and players will work out a deal so we’ll get to see these kicks in NBA action.
