Florence, Alabama’s own Billy Reid takes first prize in GQ’s Best New Designer Award, earning the gracious honor to collaborate with Levi’s®. Reid capitalized on the idea of tailoring historic work wear, presenting his designs so that classic Levi’s® aficionados and enthusiasts of fitted clothing would both be pleased. Given the chance to peruse through the historic Levi Strauss & Co.™ archive, Reid added a historic touch to his designs such as identical repairs from the past to jeans and distressed appearances.
