Celebrating the second event of its newly built space, created in conjunction with St. Alfreds, Nike Sportswear kicked off a busy day with the welcoming of Mr. Cartoon to Chicago. Aside from making an appearance at the main event, the renowned Angeleno artist began the day with a special youth talk, speaking to students about his experiences as both an underground and commercial artist, while also touching base on the dedication and motivation it takes to succeed in the world of contemporary art. In addition, Mr. Cartoon teamed up with local graffiti artist & Art Institute of Chicago instructor, Kane One, on a piece that adorned the space’s wall, followed by a Q & A session later in the evening.
