Staple x Airwalk 1.0

A few months ago, jeffstaple broke the news of his involvement in the re-emergence of skateshoe brand Airwalk. With budget-priced offerings at the heart of the capsule and the economic landscape in its current state, we’ve seen many lower-priced items thrive including the likes of Vans. Whether Staple will be successful or not, no doubt we think they’ll make a splash. While many scoffed at the notion that Payless Shoes were behind collaboration, nevertheless there resides a massive market that easily looks beyond inherent branding and image that comes with a retailer such as Payless. In a preview of their upcoming release, we see a brown/red version of the 1.0. The profile itself is clean with a nice contrast thanks to the laces. A release date is tentatively set for August, 2009.
