In April 2009, Nike Sportswear will release the Air Force 1, created for 1WORLD in partnership with Berlin artist Feride Uslu. “When Nike approached me about partnering with 1World, I was very happy because I love the iconic AF1 and had never worked on a sneaker before. It quickly came to my mind that I also neither had an airplane nor an airport (yet). So I took the opportunity and threw the three together: creating a design that sports many features normally expected in jets and take-off strips!”

Feride is the creative head of Uslu Airlines, a cosmetics brand inspired by the world of air transportation, airports and journeys around the globe. Favored by the worlds leading make-up artists, Uslu Airlines today boasts prestigious collaborations with designers, stylists and other creatives from all over the world and is appreciated not only for its state of-the-art colors, but also for the air(o)pack, a portable make up airbrush system.

The Air Force 1 x Feride Uslu created in partnership for 1WORLD will release at Wood Wood, Berlin and selected other European retailers on April 11th 2009.
