Synonymous with the California/Hawaii surf culture in the 80’s, Jams were known for producing garments in vibrant colorways and wild prints. Originally founded by Santa Monica surfer Dave Rochlen, the brand took the Jams moniker from “Pajamas” because of his need for a one syllable name that represented short, quick, jargon, hip, young and of course comfortable apparel. With the company, Jams World still in tact, the clothiers got together with Converse to create an exact replica of the original Jams Skidgrip sneaker model alongside a low cut version and Chuck Taylor All-Star. The nostalgic collection is slated for a February 2009 release.
