Going for an unprecedented 7 world championship titles over seven separate weight classes, Nike Sportswear will give Filipino boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao a proper send-off in a special event hosted on Saturday, November 7th at The Montalbán. The event will include a Q+A session with Pacquiao and his training team as well as music, prizes and other aspects of the Nike Sportswear AW77 Pound for Pound campaign. WHAT
Nike will host a celebration for Manny Pacquiao as he prepares to face off against Miguel Cotto in Las Vegas on November 14th, 2009. Pacquiao will attempt to make history as the first boxer ever to win seven titles in seven different weight classes.

The send off celebration with special guest host Quddus will include local youth in attendance for a Question and Answer session with Pacquiao along with members of his training team; Freddie Roach, Buboy Fernandez and Alex Ariza. The event will also include music, prizes and well-wishes from some of Hollywood’s biggest names as well as Nike athletes.

Manny Pacquiao is currently the face of the billboard on Vine and Selma as part of Nike Sportswear’s AW77 Pound for Pound campaign, a first for any Filipino athlete. This iconic billboard is part of a larger AW77 campaign shot and directed by David Sims and Karl Templer with six other Nike Athletes including Maria Sharapova, Sofia Boutella, Alexandre Pato, Rafael Nadal, Kobe Bryant and LeBron Janes. The seven athletes each bring their own attitude and off court persona to help deliver a series of images that are passionate, competitive, self-expressive and honest.
