The Finnish outfit CTRL has often embodied a fun and care-free approach to their collections. As witnessed by the styling of their 2009 spring/summer collection, they offer some strong graphical influences on their t-shirts while their cut and sew line is a bit more on the tamer side. They cite a wide degree of inspirations for this collection which unfortunately to us isn’t entirely obvious as they suggest including “boys from mars, Bushwick Bill, females in general, leeches, skins, Finland as an empire, Paris, Jakarta & Manila, teenage mutants, rank xerox, soweto, Neek’s favorite bukkake, real talk, Altman’s MASH and one of the top tens in the universe”.
