iDiom 2009 Preview

iDiom 2009 Preview

Most would agree that tradeshow pics and leaked photos never really do any products justice, but due to the nature of the beast that is blogging they go up anyways. Having said that, jeffstaple has presented an official look into iDiom 2009 through product shot previews and lookbook. With the artistic direction revolving around the forest, without an official press release we assume this collection has some inspirations drawn from the wilderness and the vitality of green. The collection includes shells, jackets and pants. Look for more details as the release dates near. Art Direction by Burton Syndicate Photography by Extant Studio

Cause Work Boots

Whenever you approach staple items such as work boots, a successful product requires a little bit of ingenuity in creating something fresh for a style which has undergone many design alterations from various brands. Japanese brand Cause took a familiar silhouette made famous by Red Wings and added some beneficial features. Shaving the weight and offering a perforated tongue for breathability, together these two go a long ways for a better wearing. Two material choices are available, black leather or sand colored suede. Rockers NYC x Grand Theft Auto IV

One of the most well received and well documented video games in the last few years, Grand Theft Auto IV has been perceived as one of the most detailed creations of its kind incorporating numerous features to create an extremely realistic gameplay. Rockers NYC had the opportunity to outfit Jamaican gangsters Little Jacob and Real Badman in vintage Rockers gear. As the game is quickly played and details uncovered, I wouldn’t be surprised to see more cameos from various brands.

Fred Perry 2008 Spring Footwear Collection

We’ve seen a really high volume of Fred Perry products as of late, with a spotlight on high profile collaborations with Beams, Eliminator, Junya Watanabe and more. Fred Perry has really come a long way from its Wimbledon roots, and has fully immersed itself in fashion. It was only a matter of time before they released more footwear to continue the success they had with the COMME des GARCONS tennis shoes from a while back. Classic lawn styles that match their garments are visible here. The “Tipped Cuff” models are even detailed with the double stripes which are a Fred Perry staple visible on their polo collars.
