Ninja Tune, a London-based independent record label, was started by DJs Matt Black and Jonathan More aka. Coldcut in 1991. They are known for their electronic, abstract hip hop, instrumental hip hop, nu jazz, drum and bass, and chillout genres of music. Recently they have gotten together with Stussy to create a t-shirt for the recent release of their “You Don’t Know” Ninja Cuts album. The front of the t-shirt features the album cover graphic while the back has a list of the artists on the album. This t-shirt will drop on March 15th at Stussy Japan stores for 6,300 Yen.
Designer Kim Jones’ long working relationship with Umbro is now in its 9th season. For Spring 2008, the brand will be releasing this Gamba sneaker which comes in a navy blue colorway and features a canvas upper. The shoe definitely has a hi-end look however without losing the sportiness of the Umbro brand. This shoe retails for $100 and will be available at Umbro by Kim Jones retailer.

After more than a decade of designing accessories and garments for various brands, Rekognize design has launched their own premium brand; Bruxe. Working with some of the best backpack makers in the world, Bruxe aims to create functional bags with clean profiles. The inaugural collection comes in the form of a five piece backpack and bag collection. The bags are available exclusively in black and are made with canvas and laser cut patent leather. The fabrics and trims were chosen especially for their appearance, durability and appeal. Available August 2008 at select retailers in Canada, the US and Japan.

Founded in 2002, New York based and skate inspired brand Verte has teamed up with Etnies on a new collection set to release in stores starting June. The product line up combines old and new with the retro of the Ollie King, offset by a new model, the Jameson. The lone apparel release is a leather jacket. All pieces are subtly branded with the Verte logo and the dominant use of black. Look for these to hit select skate shops in June.
OVER THE STRIPES has teamed up with mastermind JAPAN on a revised version of their original release which was seen at the beginning of the year. The changes are minimal with the inclusion of red highlights along the sole and heel. Available now at Bobos Shop.
