As adidas hit the board room back in 2007, the company was in a tight situation. Just two years ago in 2005 their adidas Superstar 35th Anniversary Collection was a smashing success but rebounded poorly the next year with the adiColor Series. From there the Consortium Series was conceived. Bringing forth a new range of marquee and inspirational releases. Magazine Sneaker Freaker recently spoke to Dean Lokes, a man in charge of the Consortium concept. His interview covered some interesting topic including the frequently resonating debate over concept driven products as well as what’s upcoming for adidas Consortium in 2008. The interview can be seen here.
It looks like the San Francisco based skate shop, HUF, is currently working with footwear makers, Vans, for a new collaboration. Unfortunately there isn’t that much information other than the fact that they have chosen the Vans Chukka model for the collaboration sneaker and that there will also be a matching New Era 59Fifty Fitted Cap to go along side the shoes. Guess we’ll have just to wait and see!

For Hong Kong’s Eric So, he’s always careful in describing himself. Although his most well known talents are known almost exclusively as a toy-maker, he’s quick to point out that his skills and interests extend far beyond figures and into the realm of art and most recently fashion. Incorporating his “Turn Me Red” theme, throughout each piece, the garments are monotone in color, however he urges to keep things real and spread the brotherly love. A look here reveals t-shirts, bags and hats. Look for these to release at Juice and Sense Organ.
