Yesterday saw the debut of Nike’s Be True exhibition in Hong Kong outlining the upcoming Dunk releases as well as some of the most successful releases of the past. Within the exhibition are some Japanese inspired manga portraits which have made them way into a series of gifts which were handed out at the opening yesterday. These items include Moleskine-like notebook, Dunk comic book and printed canvas bag. The Be True exhibition will be on display for three weeks.

Amidst countless speculation and conspiracy theories (about the authenticity of pictures leaked etc), the Air Jordan XX3 has finally launched with an official press conference held in New York attended by the likes of footwear designer Tinker Hatfield and Jordan Brand Footwear Director Gentry Humphrey. Aside from the obvious numerological significance of this release, this release also marks various ecologically friendly Considered production techniques to the fold as well as possessing a high quality construction and shape. A video involving some of the Air Jordan XX3’s defining points and direction can be seen via Youtube while all the information regarding this release both technical and retail can be seen over at Freshness Magazine.
This year marks Etnies’ 21st Anniversary. Etnies CEO Piere Andre Senizergues (PAS) decided to celebrate Etnies’ coming of age with the Drinking Age (DA) Collection. The personally designed collection includes six versions of the iconic Senix model. Each have been reinterpreted with changes that reflect beliefs and concerns of the influential skate brand. Only 21 pairs are available for each of the six designs, with a small run of 10 available for sale through Southern California’s Blends.
Each pair was engineered under strict environmental regulations which include recycled plastic laces/boxes, biodegradable tissue paper as well as the omission of various harmful practices utilized in the original Senix design. One of the six models part of the collection is the Senix MV, inspired by PAS’ first skateboard and “Foxing Tape” used.

Japanese hip-hop group Nitro Microphone Underground hooked up with Nike and Stussy to release a Special Force Tour shirt. The front of the shirt features a picture of the group while the list of members is seen on the back. With Google translate letting me down, I think that somewhere in there it says that the front print is not visible depending on which angle you view the shirt. No word on availability but it may be a friends and family release.
