Eames Office x House Industries Sculpture

The graphic design firm House Industries (affiliated with brand House 33) is set to unveil a special collaborative piece created with Eames Office. The limited run of 10 solid maple and walnut sculptures will be unveiled later on tonight at a special lecture held by Andy Cruz outlining what’s in store from House Industries. The Eames House was built in 1949 by the husband wife duo of Charles and Ray as part of the Case Study Houses Project. The Case Study House project was commissioned by the Arts & Architecture Magazine (1938-1967) to bring together a collective of some of the best architects of the time to create inexpensive and livable housing spawned by the post-WWII boom. The Eames House (known also as Case Study House No. 8) was widely considered to be the best of the bunch.
