Levi's x Jordan Brand 23/501 Collection

Masters in their own domain, denim makers Levi’s and sneaker & lifestyle entity Jordan Brand are set to team up on a special collaborative project titled the 23/501 Collection. Not one for many collaborations, Jordan Brand set forth to push the same limits they have continually been setting. The collection will include a pair of 501 denim (Levi’s most iconic model), an Air Jordan I and t-shirt. Each individual piece will posses many dual-branded characteristics. For example, the weft of the jeans will include Jordan Brand’s popular elephant print as well as Jumpman logos and special lining to prevent indigo bleed onto sneakers. The Air Jordan I’s will include a denim upper and Levi’s Red Tab. 2,323 packages will be releases, with each piece individually numbered. The suggested retail price is $395 USD. Japanese brand Double Hard began in 2002 under the influence of popular artist, DJ Hazime. His hip-hop inspired apparel has bridged cultural gaps between Japan and the US. Double Hard and DJ Hazime are set to release a pair of sneakers in collaboration with Saucony. The Courageous model maintains a brightly colored upper with colors such as blue, yellow and pink in the mix. The newly established Danish brand Force of Nature was conceived by Copenhagen residents Stine Kinch and Mads Jonassen, each with a background in textile and graphic design. Their brand mission has been to incorporate a Scandinavian approach to their designs in off-beat sense while maintaining a certain degree of relation with Mother Nature. This first collection was a throwback to the early Scandinavian Iron Age with an emphasis on metalwork, woodwork and weapon art. The tees are each printed on high quality t-shirts with 100% environmentally friendly cotton.

Marcus Miller’s musical claim to fame include his time as bass guitarist with Miles Davis and Luther Vandross as well as his development of the bass guitar technique known as slapping.This special dark indigo model is based on a tight straight cut with reflective piping along the edge of the outer leg.

Perhaps none as interesting as the recent uncovering of this Bandai figure based on the Gundam H2YM MS-06J ZAKUII. mastermind Japan were responsible for the colors and their mark is evident with the use of their skull & bones logo on the chest and shield. The two box packaging for this figure weighs in at a staggering 34 kilograms. Available for pre-order at Bandai Hobby Shop with a release date set for March of next year.
