We are currently on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, use all sorts of blogs to try and advertise, but yet our following only increases very slowly.

What's the most effective way to advertise, bare in mind having a limited budget?

Go to local events. Interacting with real people and spreading the word about your company is the best way to go. Social Media is too flooded.

You have to go out frequently and meet other people that relates to your brand. You can't just stay at home and build a brand.

Hit up instagram celebrities. You approach them. My sister owns small homebased custom purse online shop, she hit up some instagram celebrity with 35k friends. The friend rocked the purse and took a few pics, my sister got over 300 followers in 2 days and still counting, no new orders yet, but not bad for a small investment.

One idea is to find the right people (bloggers who fit in with the style of your brand) to spread the word. I know some companies also tend to send free samples of clothing to popular bloggers/ig'ers. & like the other person said, Instagram is pretty big right now so if you can find the right people to promote your line on IG, then you'll have a better chance of increasing your brand awareness. A good majority of bloggers/popular ig'ers post an email on their page for business inquiries so you can contact them through that. Good luck.

Thanks for all the tips, we've worked with a few UK artists such as Sneakbo, Ard Adz etc but we find a lot people like our stuff but there's a difference between liking it and buying it. We try to work with people that are trend setters and have their own following, but it very hard trying to find the right people.

We have just recently expanded to the US, and we are going to be featured in FKN Famous. We will also be holding a competition on there, winning the stuff we featured. Hoping that the US would dig our stuff aswell. We really do appreciate the help and support.

Great advice here. I found it's most definitely a big difference between someone saying they like your stuff and actually buying it. Have to get word out to A LOT of people before the brand will grow on it's own.

Agree with @cityofsavages

Just go out and be personable. Meet people, network. Social Media is also a must.
