I have one of the original white munnys from when they very very first came out. I had all these grand plans for it, but still haven't done a single thing with it because I know it will just turn out embarassingly horrible.

I customized a mini munny for kidrobot's very recent custom comp. I won "Most Glamorous" category: a 500$ kidrobot gift certificate, and 3 brand new mini munny (all 3 colors). The comp had over 250 entries, many of them created by professional artists/designers. I'm just a 15 year old kid, and my high school doesn't even offer any art classes. All my skills i picked up through experimentation and imitation. I was thrilled to have won.

I know, right? It's not a reaaaal Santa Claus unless he's drenched in blood and ripping someone's head off! Haha I had to keep it cutesy, it was Christmas themed.

Milly - I think the main problem is you're using the wrong types of paint. You want to prime the figure first (Krylon makes a nice, cheap spray primer) and then paint the figure with Acrylic paint. This link will tell you everything you need to and will ever need to know about customizing: link
