Whattup y'all...I'm approaching the year-mark on my 5010xx indigos. They're looking terrific, but I'm constantly hassled w/ having to take them to the alteration joint to have one thing or another re-stitched. Aside from that though, I'm looking to copp some black denim. Are the 5010's in black any good? Anyone have any experiences/pics, etc...?

They're very nice. More of a charcoal grey than a true or overdyed black. Really hard to fade.

Goldengoose, who's Skull's are those?

Anyway, I'm deciding on the Warehouse Dubbleworks 660 or the Skull 5010xx. I'm upgrading from my 31 NC's which stretched to about a 32.5/33 but the leg's and hem are still perfect for my liking. But I'm a true 30 waist. If I want a slim fit from Skull 5010xx, would it safe for me to get a 29 and stretch to a 31 after wear.

Thanks

No, go true to size on the skulls in relatively smaller sizes. Get a 30. In the 600, get a 28, or 29 - depends on whether your waist is actually 30 or no. If you got sz.31 new cures, I'm almost sure its bigger.

Why would you size down 2 on skull jeans? Don 't wear them to 'school', return them and size up at least 1.

The fading's at a decent pace imo. But, I didn't rock 'em everyday so they might've faded faster if I had OD'd on wearing them. One thing I'll say is, the craftsmanship is not that good on Skulls. I remember some time ago Technique mentioned something about the Fabfour dudes not super-enforcing all the stitching and stuff to promote this do-it-yourself sort of approach to aging denim. After my 5010 experiences, it seems like that would be a copeout for not making them up to the standard implied by their pricetag.

I've already had the pockets re-stitched once, and theyre starting to come apart again. Started developing an upper-thigh rip that I had to get stitched, and other misc shit. I've had my APC NC's for almost 2 years and never had to fix anything, aside from one hole that developed under the crotch area but that's been fixed.

I still love em though. They're approaching 1-year mark, so I've developed an attachment. lolz

I'm thinking about getting the 5507, but then i noticed that there's a model called 5507xx. So i was wondering what's the difference between the two, and if its worth it to pay an extra $60.

The FabFour link is a 7x6 pair, while the ones at SelfEdge ones are 6x6.

Whatever you see available is gonna be it for a while. They're not discontinued, but FabFour has halted production until at least late November.

Sorry guys, what i meant was on selfedge there used to be 5507xx for $205, but now that model is gone and has been replaced by 5507xx 6x6 for $265. what i'm asking is that is the $60 dollar difference worth it?

sorry for the confusion
