OAMC Digs Deep Within the Human Psyche in Designing the Spring 2017 Collection
“How does being removed from society begin to morph the image of the self and the moral compass?”

Based around the foundation of wanting to explore philosophical, psychological, and sociological sensibilities, OAMC set out to artistically interpret its spring 2017 design around questions like, “How does being removed from society begin to morph the image of the self and the moral compass?” Presented at this year’s Paris Fashion Week showcase, the Spring/Summer 2017 collection is an assemblage of eclectic pieces that increasingly blur the lines between high-fashion, avant-garde and sophisticated casual. Hitting a wide spectrum of tones and patterned prints, items appear to flow freely from the body — allowing its wearer to move about with relative ease. Standout pieces include the elongated, pin-stripped tunic bearing scribbled text, the olive-hued cross-body satchel carry-all that seemingly falls to the floor, not to mention the hybrid poncho-esque raincoat finished in a somber black colorway.
