Nike, the Oregon-based footwear company, has introduced its new Metcon 3 and Metcon 3 DSX Flyknit today, they will replace the Metcon 2. The Metcon 3 DSX Flyknit will be the first sneaker in the line to feature the lightweight, flexible material. The new model is designed with all-around training in mind, from power lifting to high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts. The Metcon 3’s 4mm offset is the stable platform all athletes need to improve balance. The flyknit version will feature a 6mm offset, dual-density outsole and a drop-in articulated cushioning system all in an effort to be lighter and offer additional comfort and flexibility during workouts.

The Metcon 3 will release in both a black and white colorway for men and women. The men’s pair will feature a silver Swoosh and be fairly evenly split in color while the women’s pair will have a black Swoosh and sport a white upper with black sole. The Metcon 3 DSX Flyknit will be releasing in a ying-yang inspired colorway. Check out the pictures above and let us know what you think.

The Metcon 3 is set to hit NIKEiD on December 19 with a general release scheduled for January 6.

The Metcon 3 DSX Flyknit will hit Nike.com on January 2.
