Umit Benan's Tokyo-Inspired 2016 Fall/Winter Collection
Alongside martial arts elements.

Umit Benan cited repeated visits to Tokyo and its martial arts culture as the source of inspiration behind the collection — knowledge you would be hard-pressed not to notice amidst diners consuming sushi on a low table in the far end of the runway. The result is a collection featuring judo suits affixed with obi belts, tank tops and track pants abound — in textures ranging from lustrous velvets to patterned corduroys. Benan does well to carve out his interpretation of Japan, albeit on a martial arts note.
