Johnny Depp Stars in This Atmospheric Ad for Dior's "Sauvage" Fragrance
Dodge Chargers and the open desert are the backdrop to Depp’s brooding musician.
As the new face of Dior’s first men’s cologne in 10 years, Johnny Depp doesn’t mess around. In this newly released director’s cut of the short film promoting Dior Sauvage, Depp plays a brooding musician to a tee, rocking out to himself in a dimly-lit dive bar before being overcome with an urge to drive out into the open desert in his vintage Dodge Charger, digging a hole, and burying his bangles in the sand. Directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino — who has shot music videos for the likes of David Bowie, Madonna and Björk — the film borders on hilarity in its heavy-laden theatrics, which you can sample in its entirety above.
