WACKO MARIA Opens First Flagship Store in Tokyo
The soon-to-be 10-year-old brand moves into the world of brick-and-mortar.
Nearing its 10th anniversary this year, Japanese imprint WACKO MARIA is set to open its first ever flagship store in Tokyo’s Meguro district on September 9. The store, called “Paradise Tokyo,” will stock a full range of everyday essentials, in addition to a coffee bar run by one of Japan’s top baristas, Takayuki Ishitani. To coincide with the store opening, WACKO MARIA will release a capsule collection of limited edition items, including the polyester coach jacket, hoodies and tote bag as seen above. The items will feature graphics with 10 stars representing the brand’s 10 years in operation. This, alongside T-shirts and a denim jacket also featuring the 10 stars. WACKO MARIA will also unveil a range of collaborations with like-minded brands in October in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
