Kendrick Lamar has responded to the controversial comments made earlier this week by talk show host Geraldo Rivera on Fox News, in a segment with TMZ. Rivera had accused Lamar of inciting retribution in the wake of recent acts buy figures of authority in the United States. In the short, handheld video, Lamar argues that his intention of standing atop a vandalized police car is to convey a message of empowerment over the recent police violence against the African-American community and suggests that through Rivera’s expressed grievances against his performance, the conservative reporter is contributing to the problem at hand.
