Kendrick Lamar's 'GNX' Album Reportedly Receiving Deluxe Edition
One of his collaborators on the album, Lefty Gunplay, shared new information about the deluxe edition.
Just under a week after Kendrick Lamar released his new album GNX, one of his collaborators Lefty Gunplay, who appeared on the track “TV Off” from the new album revealed that there might be a special edition releasing.
Speaking on The Bootleg Kev Podcast, Lefty Gunplay revealed that Kendrick is working on a deluxe edition of GNX, “Yeah, I rapped on that beat. Got some stuff…I know he’s got a deluxe version coming out.” The rapper also hinted that a music video for “TV OFF” will be coming soon.
GNX was surprise dropped last Friday, taking fans by surprise. This release marked his first full-length effort since departing from his previous longtime labels Top Dawg Entertainment and Aftermath Entertainment. Kendrick is now at PGLang and Interscope Records. The album featured big name collabs like AzChike, Dody6, Hitta J3, Peysoh, Roddy Ricch, Siete7x, SZA, Wallie the Sensei. and YoungThreat. On the production side, Kendrick looked to Sounwave, Jack Antonoff, Mustard and more for the new album. Days after the album was released, Kendrick’s feud with Drake appeared to be reignited as The Boy filed multiple lawsuits against Universal Music Group regarding Kendrick’s diss track “Not Like Us.”
It remains to be seen how this will unfold.
