Amsterdam-based brand Filling Pieces unveils the first drop of its most ambitious collection to date, a range that will feature approximately 250 styles to be launched over a span of three separate releases. Dubbed the “Metamorphoses” collection, the offering features an innovative use of leather techniques and three brand new sole units custom designed by Filling Pieces. For its latest campaign, the label’s creative director and founder Guillaume Philibert travels with his team to Surinam, South America to capture the exotic and diverse landscape of the region. On what this latest project means to him and the brand, Philibert says, “The SS16 collection represents a milestone for Filling Pieces as a brand. The ‘Metamorphoses’ collection stands for the transformation of our signature styles while maintaining our core values.” Along with a new collection of footwear, “Metamorphoses” also serves as an announcement for Filling Pieces’ redesign of its website and logo. Drop 1 will release online this Friday (December 18), as well as at select retailers worldwide.
