UBIQ x ASICS GT-Cool “Nightshade”

Just two months after the release of their Gel Lyte V “Midnight Bloom” sneaker, UBIQ and ASICS have teamed up once again to drop the GT-Cool “Nightshade.” “Very much like our last ASICS collab, the Midnight Blooms, the Nightshade represents our admiration for mother nature and our affinity for the dark hours. But you see, it goes much deeper than that. Nightshades are a family of plants, many of which are highly toxic, used throughout the Middle Ages as medicines, poisons and hallucinogens. Its name is a derivation from the Old English nihtscada meaning ‘unrecorded night.’” Hinting that they may have been under the influence when designing this gorgeous model, but can’t remember what actually occurred that night, this revived retro runner features a predominately forest green upper with neon green accents and subtle 3M details throughout. Releasing in-store Saturday, July 26 for $150 USD, tell us what you think below.
