Adding to its array of tech offerings leading into the World Cup, Nike has unveiled the latest iteration of its soccer footwear pillar: the Mercurial Vapor. The 10th version of the shoe finds the brand integrating a tongue into the upper, all of which is executed with a new Teijin microfiber synthetic leather – reducing weight and pointing to a focus on control. At the sole plate, the heel has returned to a four-blade design from the two-blade design seen with the Mercurial Vapor IX, working in conjunction with a nylon chassis to distribute energy between the blades and offer supreme stability. Head over to Nike’s online store to pre-order the Mercurial Vapor X, dropping officially on June 12.
