Accessories label TRIWA hails from Stockholm, where, during short but vivid summers, the famously subdued color palette of the Swedish population grows suddenly adventurous. Those brief, but magical moments influence this season’s new eyewear collection – a range of 16 styles for Spring/Summer 2013. Made with classic cuts, contemporary details and flattering silhouettes, the frames are constructed from hand-cut acetate in monochrome, turtle and vibrantly-colored options. New and notable this season are styles like the Henry and Ernest, silhouettes that feature Optics by Carl Zeiss Vision lenses and thoughtful details like transparent temple tips. And, as TRIWA is an acronym for “Transforming the Industry of Watches,” the label also crafts watches and watch straps in the same creative, unpretentious manner as its frames, with 12 new styles in stainless steel and organic leather from the renowned Swedish tannery Tärnsjö. TRIWA’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection of watches and frames may be purchased now and in the coming weeks from the label’s website.
