GRIFFIN 2013 Fall/Winter Collection

Jeff Griffin’s most recently launched label GRIFFIN debuted its Fall/Winter 2013 collection in Tokyo this week. The range sticks to Griffin’s established urban-military sportswear aesthetics, yet proposes these ideas in a novel way. Where in many cases ‘urban-military’ is synonymous with ‘camo M-65 jackets’ (generally inspired by American/British uniforms of the 20th Century), GRIFFIN instead draws its details from a wide variety of places, including traditional garb of the Scottish Highlands, medieval cloaks, and the French Revolution. These influences are wittily infused into silhouettes with modern sensibility, making for a wearable, strong collection from the label.
