The 2012 fall/winter collection from NEIGHBORHOOD is an interesting one. By striping the season down to its basics, including removing many long running regulars such as the Black Icon line, Channel 7 shirt and even going as far as to not have a collection name, head designer Shinsuke Takizawa seems to be implying a reboot of types. Among the items that have been included, the Grizzly Jacket stands out as a true classic. Based on the original 1930s design, oiled cow leather has been used with a Mouton front section and collar while the inner has been finished off with a check lining. Overall, this season definitely has a “no thrills” feel about it, but in doing so it has given us a chance to see what NEIGHBORHOOD is meant to be about: classically designed garments made from high quality materials. The 2012 fall/winter collection from NEIGHBORHOOD is available now at select retailers worldwide.
